Today was an exciting day as we went to Lilylo lodge to see the orphan elephants. It was a really nice and friendly place. We climbed up a ladder into a wooden hut to wait for the elephants to come out for their lunch, they have two litres of milk every 3 hours!! There were 3 elephants age 1, 2 and 3. When we were leaving, the sanctuary had a call to say there was a baby elephant wandering the streets in one of the villages close by so were organising to pick the elephant up and treat it. Apparently ...elephants are killed/die every day so if the sanctuary were able to save the new one this would fortunately be one less.
We returned to the hotel and thought we would add a little more luxury into our stay at Lusaka by lounging by the pool at the hotel!
We popped to the bureau exchange and the man wanted to come home with me
