After an early start we packed up and left Dongara for Perth. We arrived at the Perth Vinyards Holiday Park which is a really lovely, leafy park with great amenities, though I'm surprised at how expensive both parks have been. This one was $60 for a paved powered site with no ensuite and the one in Dongara was $57. Even though the kids are 5 and under, we are paying extra for them. I don't care, though. At the moment I'm just glad to be out of Kalbarri and on our long awaited adventure. The primary reason for staying in Perth was to finish off our Chrissy shopping, which we did eventually! We battled the packed car parks and shopping centre and got what we needed. This included a week's worth of meat which the butcher kryovacked (sp?) and enough fruit and veg to get us to the SA border. We got back to the park and Gaz took the girls for a swim while I mixed myself a G&T, put on some tunes and started making dinner outside. I can't tell you how satisfied with life I felt right then, cooking steaks under the trees, singing away to the music that floated from my iPod. Is this lifestyle the secret to happiness? The thought of going back to work in February puts a knot of anxiety in my stomach.
