Well i am a little drunk on rice wine at the moment so excuse the spelling mistakes!!
I have spent the day on the first of three days with the local "easy riders" in Dalat and my guide called Yip! He is taking me from Dalat to Nha Trang over three days to see the central highlands and the minority villages in Vietnam. Although i had not planned this trip it seems impossible to turn down given the route through remote areas of vietnam that few tourist actually visit.
So far the trip has been well worth the expensive price tag as i have seen some fantastic views and some really interesting villages. Nearly every village there has been people waving at me as i am white and the guide said that some people have never seen a white person in their life. I have felt like a c class star, not quite A class as there were no cameras, but everyone is starring at me and they do not look away when i find them starring which sometimes feels a little wierd.
We arrived at Buon me Thout at abour half four and i got to my room and had a power nap before we went out for a meal to a BBQ bar which was amazingly good seen as though the guide ordered ....... Goat!!! He said at first that i should have to drink the blood of the goat however i managed to persuade him i may be sick if i do that i ended up just eating the meat which was actually pretty tasty, although a little fatty (like me really)
During the meal we drank a bottle and a half of rice wine which is a lot stonger than normal wine (about 30%) hence the reason i am a little drunk now! I think i will go to bed soon (only 9pm - i am such a light weight) before the 8am start tomorrow as i head the the Yok Don national park
