I have been back in the UK about two days already but i thought i had better finish the blog with one last entry of the three days i spent in Singapore.
I arrived into Singapore on the evening of the 23rd after a morning of walking around Bangkok getting some last minute shopping done. I met up with Magnus who showed me around Wellsy's flat and we went for a couple of beers, which was a shock to the wallet with the over priced beers in comparison to Thailand and Vietnam.
We went to a bar called "The Clinic" which was completely and utterly not politically correct as it had wheelchairs for chairs as well as hospital beds for loungers. To put the icing on the cake they served a cocktail in a drip. Needless to say we only had a pint each but i did have a practice in the wheelchair for old age.
The next day i had a productive day starting with a couple of hours next to the pool, then I jumped on board the local open bus tour buses to visit the sites of Singapore broken up with a stop of at the Botanic gardens and shopping malls. I got back about 5pm so i was pretty tired. I had some food from the local Hawkers stalls (stingray - which was really nice) and i then headed to the Night Safari which was really different and great fun.
The next day i headed to pool and i spent the whole day around the pool reading my book, swimming and generally doing absolutely nothing - good use of my last day i think. I met up with Magnus for a Chinese lunch.
Finally the day had arrived for me to return to the UK, so i headed back to Bangkok where i had 5 hours to waste looking around the duty free shops. After arriving into Turkey i had another 6 hours to wait for my connection to Manchester. I finally arrived back in Filey around 6pm after a 36 hour mammoth journey home!!
Well thats the end of the blog (apart from the 2000 photos i need to upload at some point) . I hope i entertained you all with your spare time with my tales of the Far East and i will see you all soon
