I went for lunch with some of my chinese colleagues today. Well, I tend to do that most of the days as it is mostly nicer and cheaper as if I would try to cook for myself... Anyway, I have tried lots of different kind of chinese cuisines and various rather uncommon ingredients like for example jellyfish, pork feet, pork stomach pr fish head, but today I finally managed to get served chicken feet. They were actually just very jellylike and kind of spicy...
I have to admit, that its not in an objective way more spectacular than the other dishes, but most of my chinese colleagues have been asking me whether I ever had any or whether I would try them. So, now I will be able to say: I had chicken feet ;-)
Tonight I am planning to go to a fish market at Tongchuan road with Jens and a colleague from Bosch. Apparently they have any kind of fish or seafood you can imagine and more, The adventurous part is going to be to buy what ever fish we decide to have, take it to a restaurant and have them cook it for us... I shall inform you on how it turned out to be!
