Bonjour...
I could have spent many more days in Paris. I feel as though I barley scratched the surface of the many things to do and see here but I enjoyed the time I had. When we arrived in Paris it was twilight and we embarked on a driving tour (the roads are chaotic- especially the roundabout at the Arc de Triomph). We were able to see all of the famous Parisian landmarks and hear about the history of Paris.
The following day, we started by visiting the Louvre. Our tour guide knew a sneaky way in to avoid the lines so we practically walked straight in. This was one of my favourite places I visited on my trip. The art work was just extraordinary. The Louvre is so big that I was unable to see everything but the art work I saw was incredible. I was really excited to see the Mona Lisa first hand too. It's amazing how one piece of artwork draws so much attention but it is truly an amazing. We then walked up towards the Arc de Triomph and had a Parisian lunch along the way. We sat at a restaurant where the seats were facing the road so we were able to 'people watch' as well as eat.
After this, we met a group for a bike tour. The tour also took us around he city to see various land marks. The bike tours are hilarious because the traffic is so chaotic and some people in the group aren't too confident on a bike so you can only imagine the situations that unfold.
Later in the evening we met our tour guide and the top deck chefs who had prepared the most amazing picnic in front of the Eiffel tour for us. It was so beautiful. We tried some of the local cuisine including snails and frog legs (i couldn't stomach the frogs legs) and drank champagne.
We ended the night at a cabaret show which was fantastic.
Au Revoir
