One of the great things about travelling is the way you make so many new friends. Whether it's chatting to someone about their trip or sharing a humungous 1ltr cerveza, random people become your new friends. Sunday saw Tim and his new Australian friend Sue watching the football and sharing a beer and it wasn't even lunchtime!
The football score wasn't the best start to the day but the San Telmo market made us forget all about it. This is quite possibly the longest market street, or it felt like it! Hustle and bustle... Street food lunch of "Bondolino" barbeque pork, spicy chimchurri, garlic aubergine and salad all stuffed into a roll served with beer and wine and we felt ready to keep going for the afternoon. After racing home for a much needed cold shower, to wash away the dust and heat of the day we headed back out for our first Tango experience.
We'd been given a hot tip of a local place offering beginner tango lesson's then a show afterwards. The venue was perfect, nice and dark so you didn't feel too intimidated. The teachers were really relaxed and before we knew it we were strutting around like we were on Strictly. Unfortunately we forgot to take any pictures but we did manage to strike a pose on our way out. It was a great experience with only a couple of sore trodden on toes, well, there was the height difference to consider!
