Well yesterday was great, didn't let the rain showers stop us at all. Even though Jen was wearing white pants, with pink unders.. No wonder we kept getting pointed at.. LOL.
We went to the Terror Museum. What an dreary and dreadful place. This "museum" was the actual house(more like dungeun), where the communist regime took all their political and party threats for holding, during thier occupation of Hungary. During our little tour of the building they allowed you to go into the basement to see the hanging rooms, the gassing chambers, the torture rooms, solitary confinement, and etc... It was horrorifing.
After that we needed to lighten the mood a little so we took the city tour bus to the open market and did a little shopping. Three levels, fish and seafood on the bottom(pretty smelly so we skipped it); meats, cheeses, fruits and liquors in the middle; and linnens and handicrafts in the top. Very cool place. We also stopped at the local supermarket to stock up the fridge, and had the time of our lives... We found that just pointing at where to cut the slab of bacon was easier than attempting to say 1/2 kilo in hungarian..
