We're in Padua, about an hour outside Venice. We drove all day, which wasn't too bad because the down time lets you reflect and soak in everything you've done. Since the Vatican the first day in Rome, I had two packed days. The second, we toured the Roman Forum and saw lots of ancient Rome, went to the Collesium, which was incredible, and visited a few museums. It was Jill's birthday, so that evening we went to a really good restaurant and got some delicious pasta and fried mozerella. 37 of the 44 on the trip then went on a pub crawl, which was a blast. The next day was a free day, and we visited a museum, the Conaro Chapel (St. Teresa in Ecstacy), and St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. All of them were amazing, it's overwhelming to see so much in such a short amount of time. I was surprised that the two churches weren't bigger or more crowded, but the chains, Moses by Michaelangelo, and Ecstacy of St. Teresa by Bernini were still really cool. Tomorrow will be a busy day, with two classes, a museum, and a concert here in Padua. The next day, we go to Venice, which should be fun. I can't find my phone, but hopefully it will turn up. I miss you all, see you in a few weeks!
