Today was our first day in Vienna. Internet is expensive, so I'm just going to write these and post them all when I get internet. The last day in Venice was one of the coolest we've had so far. We decided to go to the island of Murano off Venice, where they make the world famous glass. We immediately went to see a master glass blower in the workshop, which was amazing. He made a vase and fish in front of us, and both were awesome to watch. Murano itself was extremely beautiful, and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Murano was also in much prettier, open water than Venice, so the vaparetto ride to and from was really pretty and fun. I also had my best meal in Murano, a lasagna dish with peas and on a bed of lettuce. I was skeptical, but it ended up being delicious. That night, we decided to go the downtown Padua, which has the second biggest square in Europe. When we got there, we found a fair-like thing that they were about to take down. I rode a ridiculous ride that spun, went upside down, up and down, and all sorts of stuff. Jill was legitimately terrified that I'd die. After that, we rode bumper cars for at least 10 minutes for only 1 euro. The night was a blast, and the next day was just a travel day to Vienna. Our hotel in Vienna is very nice, and right next to the Prater, the first theme park in the world apparently. We ate dinner there yesterday, and hopefully we'll ride some rides and all sometime. Today, we went to downtown Vienna, and saw the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Vienna Opera House. Both were impressive, although it's getting harder to fully appreciate all the museums that we're seeing. Hope everybody is having a good summer, I'll keep writing these and post them all whenever I get internet.
