Hola from Buenos Aires!
The bus ride from Mendoza took us roughly 15hrs, luckily our seats reclined into pretty much beds. We watched a couple of dodgy films and had an annoying couple in front of us, who were constantly all over each other. He had to be twice her age so fair game to him i guess. We were provided with a meal aswell, although as we ate it we had to watch love song power ballads, my personal fave was R. Kelly - if i could turn baxck the hands of time! haha. Anyway managed to get a bit of sleep and rolled into BA roughly 10am. Drove past the football stadium of Velez Sarsfield to the west of the city that was pretty cool.
got a free cab ride from the bus terminal to our hostel, fun and games fitting the surf board into the taxi! as we drove to the hotel we saw some of the sights of BA. checked in and had some breakfast and a chillout.
Today we explored the city pretty well, walking all around and finding the main sites and plaza's. the city reminds me partly of some areas of London/Amsterdam and French streets. (random mix)
Our hostel is cool, nice and chilled out. im starting to beat the owners at Pro Evo, probably spending too much time indoors. At night it can be quite hard to sleep, the first couple of days we were here the heat rivaled Bali.
Havn't had the chance to sample the nightlife yet, it has an impressive reputation as the city that never sleeps, so we will see!
I am looking forward to going on a tour of La Bonbonera (boca juniors stadium) and there are a few more areas of the city we need to check out. Plans are a bit up in the air at the moment, although we both fancy hitting a beach pretty soon. we will keep you posted. Pics of BA to come soon! Alex
