Angkor Wat how amazing is this place !!!!!!, i have been cycling all day around these ancient wonders, i started a little later that most peops do around 6am , i started at 9am, off i went from my guest house on a little cool machine with a bread basket stuck on the frontwhich proved to be very helpful id say, the area of Angkor start around 7km from town so a good warm up before paying my $20 and then it was thestart of this amazing place, i 1st visited Angkor Wat which just totally blew me away, its hugh and stunning to see with a good 1-2 hour trek around and inside the Wat, i have taken loads of pictures but all the comps aint having me upload em'so will try in a few days, afterwards i headed to Bayon and again this was amazing, the arcitecture was fine artworks of previous battles and stretched the full distance around the Wat's, so after a few more visits i had me some tucca and chilled while the sky's opened with rain, like everyday in Cambodia (wet season) it rains for about 1 hour then its glorious sunshine again, at most of the temples there is loads of kids and adults selling postcards/drinks/food and even exchanging british money what people have given the kids, i bought some cards from the little rug-rats, its sad that the kids at such a young age are begging, the nation has been through so much and they are trying to grow again, i have travelled allaround the world and the Cambodian people (Khmer) are really nice genuine people, i have taken a right bond to them when in Siem Reap, they are good to talk to and seem to have time for a chat or help you, some places meand ell have been to we notice that some people stop you and you get the message they want you to buy something but here they tell you straight and respect your decision either way, some taxi driver offered me a 4-in-offer which was , taxi, massage, weed,or lady in 1 question, i just chuckled away and that was that, so back to Angkor and i was pretty much around the big route which is about 27km and some stunning ancient Wats and temples', i paced myself for the sunset views at the end and it was a quality way to end the day, onone of the Wat's i noticed a little boy just sat there on his own with bracelets and small gifts for sale, he was so cool i had a little talk to him and give the little fellow 1 pound which he an trade with tourists, i stayed and talked to him for a whie and got a picture of him flexing his muscles, his little face was cute as !!!!!, check them out you will know when you see him, so off i went after a day on my little bike back towards the guest house for a cold shower - perfecto, the day was amazing and the area is a true ancient wonder of the world, the temples and Wat's date back about 500AD i think even before, around 900AD and 1200AD the Kymer empire spanned out to most of present day Thailand, Laos and Vietnam , its a place to respect while walking around with so much history and also the monks are their still today, i enjoyed the day and was well tired ot with another early start the next morn it was beer-then-bed time, i bought a 1 day pass and you can also buy 3 day passes, i seen the area and it was amazing, so now off to the capital for a few days before heading into Vietnam, will try get pics on asap, see ya.
