5 days on and its getting warmer, im blowing outta my ass !!!!!, so guys finally left the land of Australia for Asia, we landed about 7pm and the heat was straight onto us, i expected it to be like Oz but this was so much differant, its fine thou but with the tropical heat comes the tropical health warnings, the mozzy's here are deadly so anti-mozz spray and cautions is a must just to avoid anything that might have you away !!!!!!, so we are staying in little india, as you can expect it is just like india , the best part about it is the food, we are spoilt for choice and as we both love asian food its right up our street, we eat out all the time just trying new things, the prices are so good also, we pay less than 2 pound a meal and thats everything (naan breads,2-3 choices of curry dishes, rice etc etc, the other day ellie left to go back to the hostel so i joined the locals for lunch, which was served on a banana leaf and using my right hand to eat, it was cool as i might try this more often, i didn't have a scooby-doo to what the locals where saying but picked up a few words which helped, so at the mo we are well and truly curry'd up, we are staying @ fragerance backpackers which is sparkly clean and only about $20 singapore dollers (6-7 quid), the place is right in the heart of little india and the aromas and bollywood music is all around us 24 hrs - quality, the hostel has unlimited premiership games so thats a billy-bonus, im getting to see loads of fuzeball, so around Singapore we have been to all the attractions like the Merlion which is a hugh statue of a fish/lion its cool to see and we have been to Fort Canning park where on the 15th feb 1942 the british surrended to the Japanese after the invasion , years later we where to re-take Singapore and the fort, it was a place to pay our respects being British, look at the pics i took a few, we also took a river cruise to check the city out from a distance, its a modern city with a few things to do, many peops say 2 days but 5-6 days is probably enough, Sentosa island which is the southern most point of continental asia and is a getaway for singaporians on the weekend is a cool place with its man made beaches and theme parks, me and ell spent a day here and it was quality with wildlife shows and light shows all for penny's really, on the animal encounter i was able to hold a stunning yellow/white python, chill with a baboon and stand with a sea eagle, these animals where awsome, after the animal experience we watched a light/sound show and again it was really good and cheap as chips to top it off, the city is full of temples/shrines/churches, its really good to see so many cultures and religions so close together and living in peace and harmony with each other, the people are a mixture of chinese/indian backgrounds and each with their unique lifestyles adds to Singapore and makes it a buzzing city to be in, back to the food my favorite part, we have tried so many dishes and heading north through Malasia and trying new things is what im looking forward to, so we are planning to leave Singapore tomorrow and head into Malasia then up to Thailand and where from there we dont know yet ?????????.
