LA Part 2 - We got dropped off the greyhound at half 6 in the morning thinking we were back in Hollywood but infact we were about half an hour away from our stop, coz apparently the coach we were on didnt go past our stop! So we had to wait in this small, cold station for over an hour till the next coach came which was quite annoying, as we weren´t informed about this! We finally made it back to Hollywood Blvd and found the USA hostel which wasn´t far away from the station (The best hostel so far), checked in and then went on a mission to spend this scorching hot day down Venice Beach. It was a mission as we had to get 2 buses which both took about half an hour. We chilled down the beach all afternoon even braved the sea which felt cold at first but infact was like a bath once you got in so I was in for about an hour jumping the waves, the current was really strong here so we didn´t swim out too far! Me and Russ got bit burnt oops! I dragged Matt for a wander up the strip along the beach and bought a really cool orange and green sarong (tutt tutt Matt says) but at least I got my shopping fix! Before heading back to Hollywood had a few drinks in this beach bar, where Matt blocked the toilet!! My cocktail was very strong so got me ticking for the bus ride back. This bus ride was bit weird as a black guy sat at the back was talking really loud about robbing people, and got out at our stop freaked us out a bit but we got back safe and sound! We got off the bus opposite the Chinese Theatre as saw something was going on, there was red carpet and spotlights and lots of people around - It was the premier of Émployee of the month´but we couldnt get close enough to see Jessica Simpson (Which Russ was gutted about). That night we went to the Hostels Ópen Mic´ night which was was really good, drinks were really cheap $2 for a beer and $3 for a cocktail so we took advantage, after all the talented people had played their tunes everyone (incl us) had a boogie was a cool night think we may have woken up the people sharing our dorm when we got back oops!! On our last day in L.A. we went to Universal Studios. The Studios was a good day out, as well as the usual rides (Rusty chickened out of the Mummy rollercoaster) and stuff we did an actual Studio tour behind the scenes and saw (from a distance) them filming Desperate Housewives! We also saw lots of sets used in the past, the most impressive was the crahsed plane from the begining of War of the Worlds. We went to a waterwold show which was brilliant, the 3 of us sat in the ´get soaked´zone and got absolutely drenched. One other thing that was cool was a Van Hesling walkthrough haunted house thing where people jump out at you which was funny, we all shat ourselves at least once. After this we went back to the hostel to get packed and ready for our early flight to Miami the next morning!
