250 days, 9 countries, 12 flights and loads of amazing sights later we reached our final stop, Miami. It has been a perfect place to end our trip, loads of sun, sea, shopping and eating. Apart from the days filled with the 'usual' we have also made a couple of trips away from Miami to visit Key West and Kennedy to watch the launch of the Endeavour space shuttle.
We met a couple of guys heading to Key West and decided to go along with them hiring a car for the day - not just any car though, a red Mustang convertible! It was real fun to drive and we all looked so cool!hehe Even though it was only a couple of hundred miles, it took about 6 hours to drive but I was happy to as the road there is one of the most spectacular in the world. Once there, we watched the sunset after testing the water where in Florida is 30c+ (we will miss it) before the long drive back.
Later that week we took a trip in another rental back towards Orlando to hopefully see the space shuttle endeavour take off, weather permitting. As it turned out the weather was fine and it had to be one of the most amazing once in a lifetime experiences. We were a good few miles away but the sight and sound was still awesome.
As we write this it is actually raining - I guess preparing us for thursday when we get home. We have our last meal out planned for tonight in a nice restaurant to say farwell to our amazing adventure! Thanks to everyone for all your messages, especially to both families who will be meeting us at the airport tomorrow - can't wait to see everyone! Love Matt and Jo xx
