Hi, it's Melanie.

We made the unanimous decision last night to leave at 6am this morning, and we did exactly that. We watched the sun rise as we started a new day of driving. We made a few stops along the way, which broke up the monotony of driving, including Maccas for breakfast (again…), our first encounter (well some of us) with 'The Dog on the Tuckerbox' and 'The Big Merino'. If you ever get the chance to look up the story of 'The Dog on the Tuckerbox', do it. I always knew about it, but not the story, it's a funny story and the Aussie spirit really shines through!

We climbed up the inside of the Big Merino...??? looked at the view through his eyes, although not for long, Janae really doesn't like heights!

We revisited Helensberg, ahhh home! Though everytime we come back something else has changed, including the house which is now home to a red double-decker bus?? Had lunch here too then headed for Opa and Oma's! (with a few quick toilet breaks along the way). The girls have travelled well in the car. It's a long trip for anyone let alone a four and a nearly two year old!
Looking forward to some quality time spent with family which unfortunately a rare thing when there's such a big distance between us! Very excited!!
