Hey Mate, glad to hear your well, it has been a long time!! you must be pretty tired with all that travelling. but i guess you get some rest on the 15 hour train journeys!!

i am really jealous it really does sound amazing. i want to sleep on a bed of wooden slates with no mattress, and have horrible rice wine poured down my throat by strangers. haha

Life here is just the same as when you left, except everyone is stressing about the economic situation thanks to the media. but as your mum said spring is here and a bit of sunshine is putting a smile on faces so all is good.

Hi Mat, I thought you'd find China "different", I think when we went I had problems with the toilets - in fact got locked in one once! horrendous!!!

Sounds like you're travelling constantly, are you having to pay for much? perhaps when you get to Bangkok there will be time for R&R. Hope you're still taking loads of photo's, can't wait to see them.

Dad and I are on holiday 18th-26th March, looks like I won't be here for Mothers Day, but you can make up for it when we see you in September!

Grandad still unwell with pain in his hip, trying to get him to take pain killers is a nightmare, we are seeing the doctor today to get something stronger than diclofenac. Spring has at last arrived, yesterday was lovely, guess what we did? gardening!! today the forcast is warm and sunny 17degrees. sunbathing weather!

Im sat here oooing, ahhing and squeeming at the stuff your doing! There will be no stopping you with trekking when you returm to the UK by the sounds of things! I am enjoying the heat as you are, a cool 30degrees on avg here atm. I see a crash to two car crashes a day here on avg and yest I didnt see one.... ....till i was in one :) Good times! All in one piece though I nearly gave a 3rd strike to other guy as he was inches away from a Lamp post head on... Bad times!

hsbc are fine with our suggestion, they have abranch on same road as your hotel so should be an easy walk (numbers are also close). second day of heavy snow - chickens have freaked out!!!

hey laura, met 2 people who are also heading to australia same time as me so we are considering doing some stuff together whilst out there! got loads of pics of the orphanage to stick up i just have to find the motivation, the time and the money to sit in the internet cafe for 3 hours waiting for them to upload! check your messages on facebook too!
