Hi everyone I hope you enjoy the latest pictures of our travels. Sorry they are a bit sporadic, but wi-fi wasn't readily available in the depths of the National Parks. Hi Everyone Sorry the blog and picture updates have been a bit neglected, but I am just catching up. Enjoy the pics of the Cruise to Alaska, we were so lucky with the weather. Everyday was clear enough to have fabulous views, and some days were bright sunshine. The highlight was Glacier Bay, a National Park where we actually watched a glacier 'calving', and heard it moving. Awesome. We are now in the 26foot long (!) campervan. Hi all, We are now at Te Anau, had a good 4 hour drive here from Dunedin with a stop for lunch. The rain has eased, and actually stopped, but has been intermittent most of the day. The weather forecast for the next two days looks better and Te Anau promises to be a lovely place. We have booked to do a trip on Doubtful Sound on Wednesday which comes highly recommended. Saturday 21 Feb 2009 A lot of activities since the last blog from Wellington which I wrote on the crossing to the South Island. We had great time in Picton (see photos) , and did a walk on the Queen Charlotte Sound. Hi All We have visited the Kauri Museum at Matakohe, a fascinating afternoon, giving the history of the logging industry and the uses of the famous Kauri trees. We travelled on to Rotorua, where we had two fantastic days. Day one was the gondola up the mountain and the luge run down, followed by a trip to the Thermal Village to see the geysers.
