Awoke really wanting a shower!!! But with no fresh water and even being out of drinking water, now using Rod and Angie's, couldn't possibly use it for showering even though they said to.
Anyway had to get over that and instead had breaky. Angie and l then placed out an exercise circuit using a camp oven lid at one station and a small step at the other. We had three corners marked out: 1) holding camp oven lid whilst doing sit ups, 2) step ups on step or squats and 3) push ups. Inbetween after our reps we either jogged, lunged or did squats to the next station. Worked up a sweat and can't believe actually doing exercise again!!! After this went for a walk up the beach to cool down, but no, Angie pushed me again by jogging with short sprints! So much for a cool down, reckon will be sore tomorrow but am feeling more energized than late. Boo and Meg enjoyed doing the circuit too, they used spaghetti cans instead of the camp oven lid, was really cute to watch them.
Today was a really lazy day, Rod set up his satelite dish and let us hook up so we could use the Internet. Was so good, played WWF with Angie most of the day, caught up on Facebook and our blog and even finished reading my book l had been carrying around doe a while.
Late in the arvo Marty got some luck with his fishing. Saw his rod dipping down at the end so sprinted out to start reeling in the line yelling out "it's heavy!", then "it's a bloody shark!". He ended up catching a black tipped reef shark, around 60 cm long. He was so chuffed, happy for him. So for the next hour Marty, Angie, Boo and Meg gutted and skinned the shark in preparation for cooking that night.
So for tea Rod and Angie prepared and cooked the flake, it was so delicious and went well with Angie's mango chutney she cooked earlier. This woman can do anything with food, learning heaps and becoming very confident in my ability to cook over the campfire. We have been eating like kings for the last few weeks due to learning everyone's tricks with cooking while camping. So for tea l cooked, with the help from Angie, apricot chicken in the camp oven. Totally scrumptious! Impressing myself now which is good!
Some people came down from another camp, didn't quite enjoy their company as they were a tad drunk so we all started yawning to give them the hint that we were going to bed. They didn't get the hint so we just told them goodnight and off we went to ved, they eventually left. Lol....
Another great day, bloody got though and the girls got a little burnt yesterday so didn't want them out in the sun too much so was hard to amuse them. Angie was great and put a chair on the rope swing by using a small log split on half, the girls giggled happily on the swing for hours.
Funny how we are all getting on like a house on fire and so relaxed with each other. It's wonderful to be around two people that are so in love with one another, helping Marty and l focus on each other rather than just the girls all the time. That's what we wanted out of the trip, to get to know one another again, and l really think we are doing it. Loving it!! We are all starting to relax and are having an awesome time knowing one another, the girls are closer than ever before and am really enjoying watching their sisterhood grow!!!
