We woke up at the usual time of 6:30am and no sign of Mick and Jeremy. Dale decided that he as going to back track our moves yesterday in search of them and left around 7:30am. Andy and Julia also didnt arrive but we presume they had found somewhere else to camp.
The day was spent by us sitting under a tree to get out of the sun and listen for cars approaching. Kerrie was real worried, as we were, anticipating where Mick and Jeremy where and if Dale had found them. It was real hot, the sun had some kick in it and it was so tempting to go for a swim, but the thought of crocs kept us out. Tge water looked spectacular with a torqoise color amd was really calm. All the girls kept surprisingly amused with the shells around the camp area and played great all day.
At 2:30pm Dale returned to camp with no Mick and Jeremy, however he said Andy and Julia were 40 mins away camped by a river. A camper who arrived earlier said he was certain he had seen them in Musgrove yesterday arvo. Dale and Kerry decided to pack up and make their way there tonight and we were going to stay in case they rocked up.
After they'd left it had cooled down a bit so we took a stroll along the shelly beach and Boo collected am old esky lid and filled it with shells and some bones she found on the beach. We met an older couple from Cairns who were taking a dip in the lagoon, but we decided not to take a chance on other people's luck and not swim. I noticed some plaques on a few rocks at the top of the hill so made my way up and saw they were from people who had passed and must have had their ashes scattered in the bay.
It was a beautiful sunset again watching it disapear in the horixon behind the ocean. We had chicken pasta for tea and sat round the campfire for a while looking up at the stars.
Tomorrow we pack up again and will head for Musgrove, hopefully to meet up with the others.
Bell Xx
