Day 8

Still in Shanghai, a little longer than expected but again trains have been very difficult to book. We have managed to book onto a train tomorrow to Xi`an, though its a 20 hour ride and could only book a hard seat, really not looking forward to that, apprently they are not pleasant but we can see how chinese really travel!! We have had a lovely time in Shanghai, the skylines are amazing at night. We went up the tallest building yesterday, little foggy though (we think due to the pollution) but was worth a trip.

Visited a fake market yesterday, selling all sorts for very cheap. Expereinced our first day of rain never seen anything like it, but still markets were running and streets were still as busy as ever. We have both been a little ill, struggling with the chinese food, think its because we know where it has come from and how its been prepared!!! Its so different out here but enjoying it all the same.

We are so tired now, moving around all the time, reallly looking forward to our 5 day cruise to relax a little.
