Me again. ive caught up. Im impressed you've got time to write and send pictures but it is a lovely bonus. For some reason the slideshow finally came through when i sent this home. i feel better now. wouldnt have been the same without the pictures. but im not sure if you are actually enjoying yourself and what are your travelling companions like.
Agreed early mornings and lack of sleep are part of the adventure. the dirt in India might actually make egypt look clean and that's saying something, but the people you are with will make it fun no matter what. so i hope you have wonderful travel companions.
love and cuddles

I was just wondering how your adventures were going and your email popped up but it looks like i somehow have to catch up on a number of days. The blog for today was beautiful and i look forward to the rest.
The indians do love having their photo taken with Westerns. I was told it was a status thing. They have friends take the same photo and then they claim they have these western friends to their friend. Not sure it that is correct or not but that is what i was told when they spent a lot of time at the Taj Mal asking for photos from our group.
Im missing my photos though -either that or this is not working. But beautiful pictures with your words.
You know im so envious.
Love ya mate

I guess there's not much Internet where you are right now... isn't that great?

Glad to hear you touched down! Isn't it wild being in India? It's so different! Great blog Maria. Thought of you last night when I swung by Starbucks for a chai!

Sounds like you are doing well. We watched a movie the other day, it was based in India, They showed the streets and packed trains with people hanging all over - we thought of you and hoped that was not going to be your experience :) Do you get time at the camel festival?
Buddie is doing good - trainer comes on Thursday. He is so curious about everything, always watching all. His little stubby tail wagging back and forth all the time.
Love you lots!!
Stacy
Wow! It sounds like you are having quite an adventure! I can't wait to see your photos - especially of your train experience! :)

Maria. Sure hope you are having a fantastic time. Spent a lot of time with Smokey yeaterday. The old gal is doing great. In the side door a little snack then out the patio door. Almost two hours before she slowed down.
Miss You. Reading the card.

Have a great time in India, can't wait to see the pictures & hear about your travels.

Well ive seen the Taj Mahal, Agra's Red Fortress - look for the finger prints in the wall that gave the king the ability to look over to the Taj Mahal when he went blind but continued to walk to where he could view it.
They have parks where people go for their morning poo. It's amazing how a lady can still look ladylike whilst squatting on the side of the road.
Oh and you really have to be forceful in saying no to the hawkers.
good luck
PS - i think you would love Nepal next
