Went to Sudbury yesterday (sat) and had a walk up the High Street. Quaint little shops all sandwiched together on either side of the street. There was a market at one end and we checked out the fruit and veg. Nectarines were the size of oranges. Beautiful apricots, pears,grapes and strawberries. The bananas come in from Costa Rica and Jamaica. All sorts of vegetables, with stall holders extolling their freshness. Buckets of cut flowers, a fishmonger and cheese ...

Saturday 9th July Woke up at 5.00 am to a sunny morning. Today we go to Sudbury to visit a cousin.

Yesterday (thursday) we were picked up by Bill and Audrey at the Holiday Inn. The morning started out cloudy and then we got showers which then became rain! We arrived at the farm and had a good old english cup of tea. Audrey has a Renault Kangoo which can carry a moped, a very neat little vehicle. I was entranced with the houses we passed on the way... It is 6pm Malaysian time ,we are on the airbus and just had a meal. Chicken lasagna, very nice, followed by an orange juice. Shades of lite 'n easy! Dad is in his element, he is sitting next to a gentleman, English, who Is an expert on electrical stuff and they are having a wonderful conversation. He sounds just like Graham! A lovely guy, about 73 or so. We were in seats row 10, but could not see out of the window. There was a second meal of smokey BBQ chicken...

Today we will head off to the UK. It is going to be a long haul 13hrs 45mins I think. Had a lovely meal last night in the Concorde Inn hotel. Tried a few of their spicy items , a lovely buffet meal that we found very interesting. Can't say the coffee is that great, but everything was beautifully laid out and garnished.
