It's been a crazy last week. TJ has moved out of her flat, we have both got rid of our cars. It feels that we are getting rid of our western luxuries to wander into the wilderness... Into the unknown. I say getting rid of our western luxuries... Im typing this on my iPhone in the car on the way to the airport plus you haven't felt our packs, it feels as though we are taking every worldly possession we own.
There has been so much planning for the trip (mainly by TJ as you can imagine). So many conversations about what we are going to do, where we are staying, how we are going to get there. Now that we are actually starting our amazing journey it all seems very surreal. We are visiting so many places and will be experiencing so many different things that excitement is an understatement.
Driving through London it's not hard to see why we are going... all the traffic, noise, police sirens. The tube ride this morning with my rucksack was not a pleasant experience. Something tells me though, give it a couple of weeks and we'll be missing all those things a little bit.
One things for sure we are going to miss everyone, it's hard leaving all your friends and family behind... A little easier with what we are going off to do, but hard none the less.
We'll be thinking of you all during our travels, try not to miss us too much! Hopefully we'll be able to update this often to let you in on all the amazing things that we are up to, but also as a way of keeping up to date with everything back home.
Right we are arriving at Heathrow now so better sign off, our next post should be from Nairobi!!
A very nervous and excited Mark & Tejal xxx

Nicki Hello my little snails. Hope Nairobi is not too hot and crazy, I say head for the countryside and get ticking off those big five. For tracking tips see Miss Feliz aka Eagle-eyes. Lots of love from the Brizol massif!
