Today was spent in the car, on the beach, in the car, by a beach and in the car again. The first beach was at Gerringong, or my personal hell if you will. I hadn't wanted to swim today so never bothered to pack any swimming gear. Instead I made the mistake of going for a paddle and as then of course covered in sand without having had the benefit of splashing around in the sea like a six-year-old. Luckily my parents and brother took care of that for me, body boarding and playing with a half-deflated volleyball. I sat, baking in the fabulous heat, listening to my iPod and figuring out various different ways of keeping my legs from touching so they wouldn't rub together like sandpaper. It didn't work. After washing ourselves down we took a trip to Kiama and walked alongside another beach, not before taking a look at the Blowhole, a mini cove through which the vicious tidal water would rush, sending gusts of spray into the air. We had a wonder round this coastal town and enjoyed massive ice creams (cheers David!) then headed back home to a curry and the final Bourne movie.Nice.
