Arrived back in Bangkok after a few days in Ho Chi Minh. After the friendly people of Cambodia, Vietnam was in stark contrast. The city was very dirty and there was constant noise. The Vietnamese all seem to travel round by mopeds and motorbikes, which seem to follow no rules and the use their horn when they are on the pavement. Went to see the War Museum and the former South Vietnamese Presidential Palace, both offering a Vietnamese prospective on the Vietnam War.

The flight back to Bangkok on a 'budget' airlines makes Ryanair look like a poor cousin. Coming back to Bangkok has been good and made me appreciate the Thai people. Off later this evening on a sleep train up to northern Thailand and Chiang Mia...
