Woken at 6:30 by a load of loud Americans next door. You didn't really want to make a bit issue out of it, especially when you saw his Pitbull tatoo and face to go with it.
Instead we planned our escape from Caye Caulker. We have decided to take a three day sail boat trip via the islands to Plaencia in the south. Going with Steve fell through, he is too laid back in getting people together for the trip.
Caye Caulker has been good, we stayed a lot longer than what I anticipated. This has been due to the relaxed vibe here - you simply don't feel like arranging things. The fastest things here are the golf carts that go up and down the street. However as you can see from the blog picture the street has a caribean chilled beach look as well.
Staying longer has resulted in us getting to know the locals better. They are some of the most colourful characters I have met. The guy sweeping up in the picture is the mad poet guy that believes his poems were nicked and published. There is the so called coco loco guy that believes he is the best dancer there is but cannot dance to save his life. All the women remind me of my friend Rachel in the UK - it's the yerr man creol speak here.
Whether we go tomorrow depends on the weather - if it is cloudy they delay the trip.
