Manning gorge was well worth the effort getting to. The camp ground was a typical bush camp with flushing toilets and showers and not far from a river. The trip from Mitchell Falls had its toll on Adrians gear with a broken suspension bolt, 2 broken shocks and a tyre blow out on the Navara. Luckily we were able to get up and running without too much hassle. Oh, yes we are still traveling with the Bailey family.
The walk to Manning Gorge starts with a river crossing that you can either swim across or board a small tinny boat and pull yourself across with a rope and pulley system. The gorge was a further hour walk and was fantastic with a large waterfall that you could swim around the back of. Moving over to Mornington Wilderness Park next.
