Hi Guys,
We arrived in Shanghai around 7am with our german friend Sebastian and were greeted with the first days rain since we left England 10weeks ago! I didn't feel great but we only wanted to spend two days here so we decided to get straight out and see the sights. The visibility was really poor matched up with it being a national holiday and queues for most tourist sights were huge so not a great day, we went back to the hostel and got some sleep. That night we met up with two more of our friends that we met in Xi'an.
The next day was much better, plus i was feeling better. We went over to the Bund and took photos of the Shaghai skyline, then went in the tunnel to the other side to wander around. We then caught the metro to the french concession which isn't really that French, nether the less we walked around then went back to the hostel. That night we went to a chinese acrobatics show which was really good, Laura eyes were lit up the whole time so i was happy enough even if it was a load of men running around in lycra.
On the whole Shanghai isn't a very nice city and its under a lot of development. We'd already been told this on our travels hence we only stayed a couple of days
