We were awake very early because the curtains don't block the sun out! After much debating about getting up we finally did! We were surprised when we went in search of breakfast, everything was still shut and it was about 10am!! Even the cafe in our hostel was shut!! We found a MCD's though so couldn't resist! We also had the yummiest coffee we have had in a long time!! We then went in search of the beach. It was very busy but there weren't many sun loungers left. We were going to stay but after inquiring in a travel agents about our plans to get to Bangkok on Thursday, we decided that we ought to sort it first! We had read that you could get there in a day, leaving at 7am and arriving at 7pm and because of this we had booked our train to leave at 10pm to go up to Chiang Mai! However, this was proving to be impossible! After asking at a few travel agents we went back and looked for ourselves on the internet. From what we could see it was possible and asked the owner of the hostel to ring up but for some reason the train wasn't running on the day we wanted. Ah!! Luckily the owner was able to find another route for us via a boat and a coach that will get us in just in time! Phew!!
By this time we couldn't be bothered with the beach so instead treated ourselves to Dr Fish! We had this done in Malaysia but this was far posher and very relaxing! Its where fish nibble on you, mainly you tootsies, to remove dry skin and leave you feeling lovely and smooth and at the same time it is a sort of massage! We had 30mins of nibbling and it was much more bearable than the last time we had it done! We left feeling very smooth!
We then had a mooch about the local area. We found a lake where there were quite a few Thais running! We mooched in shops and stopped for coffee again in MCD's!! We found 3 boots shops which was exciting!
We spent the evening mooching yet again and Mark bought me another pretty dress! We were planning to go out again after dinner and showers but we ended up waiting about 1 hour and a half for water! They had run out and were waiting for more water to be delivered..however it decided to run out whilst I was in the shower so my hair was well conditioned! By the time we had managed to shower it was too late so we had an early night!
