We had a long day ahead of us as we were heading over to Koh Samui. This journey involved 3boats, 1 coach and 3 minibuses! It all seemed a bit dodgey to us and we weren't told very much!
We took a long tail taxi boat across to the harbour to catch the ferry to Krabi, on the mainland. After one boat wouldn't start we made it just in time! The journey went fairly quickly and we sailed past our accommodation and we didn't realise just how close to the cliff edge we were!! Once in Krabi we got a minibus to a random travel agent in Krabi, in what felt like the middle of nowhere!! We were then collected by another minibus that took us across to Surat Thani, 2 hours across on the East coast. We were then dropped at another travel agents where we waited an hour to be collected by a coach which took another hour to the ferry port! The ferry was about 1 hour and a half and again passed by fairly quickly! Once we docked on Koh Samui we got a taxi across the island to our accommodation!! What a day of travelling!!
We have seen lots of tescos here now! And we saw lots of other bizarre sights along the way! Our hostel is lovely, very small with only 4 rooms, and it has a snazy cafe and bar! We can see the sea from our room! The owners are Italian and Thai so the food was bound to be good..and it didn't disappoint! We're in a busy area on Chewang beach but its seems a nice area. After mooching we had an early night as we were both suffering with headaches.
