Whitsundays - Whitehaven Beach - The closest thing to Paradise!
You know the phrase ' it took my breath away' well Whitehaven Beach literally did. I remember reaching the look out point and having to take a sharpe breath as I processed what my eyes were capturing! The word stunning does not do this place justice, it was like looking down on an ocean that had been whipped with vanilla ice cream. The puriest white sands, sea so clear that aqua would seem like a dirty blue. Wow!
We boarded the Anaconda 2 sailing boat for a 3 day trip. A group of 25 eager passengers anxious to find out what all the hype was about!
Bit of Trivia for you - The Whitsundays consists of over 70 islands. Many moons ago these islands were part of mountain ranges, which eventually became islands after sea levels rose (that's as deep as I can go right now, my brain has turned to mush!)
The trip was a perfect balance of taking in the beautiful scenary, sunbathing on the Yacht, filling our bellies with delicous food and of course partying at night! There is something so refreshing about being on a yacht at night, sipping Vodka whilst the boat gently rocked from side to side under the darkest of skies! Magic!
Of course with us on board it the stillness and calm didn't last long, the Vodka soon had it's wicked way with me, Irish dancing was the main entertainment of the night staring me of course, oh and who could forget the Norweian girls; crazy girls - Norway 12 points!
The 2nd night was full of even more antics, we where taken to a remote island (South Mollie Island) for a themed Toga night! You only have to look at the pics to know it was a good night! So sereal, being on a remote island in a toga (bed sheet between you and I but you would never of guessed!), playing party games, jumping in swimming pools, disco dancing to then get back on a yacht and sleep the night on deck!
Wow, what an experience sleeping out under the stars for two nights aboard a yacht! The sky takes on a different form when there are no lights near by, it's like the sky is alive. Hmmmm heaven hmmmmmmm, well it wa until the sound of the engine started roaring at 6am in the morning!
Great experience, sights, snorkeling on the reef, bird feeding, watching eagles soar down and to catch their prey, awesome!
