Hi Everyone Anther update for you!!! I am now in Airlie Beach in Queensland, my Mum left on Sunday night to fly back to good old Blighty! We had a great time with David and Tracy in Sydney, we were staying in the most beautiful apartment overlooking Darling Harbour on the 20th floor that David had booked us in to, it was so nice to have some luxury!!! We stayed there for 4 nights and spent our time looking round the city and eating and drinking lots. When David and Tracy headed back to New Zealand, my mum and I flew up to Cairns and spent a couple of days in the rainforest, which was really great, very wet though but really amazing. We went on a nightwalk in the rainforest on our first night, in the pitch black with our torches that we were only allowed on when walking, quite scary really, ha ha, didn't think I was scared of the dark but think I was anticipating a giant snake flinging round my neck, luckily made it out alive! We headed back down to Cairns where we hit the Great Barrier Reef, we snorkelled the reef which was fantastic, some of the fish are enormous, as big as sharks I remember thinking at the time, ha ha! The weather was a bit crappy and most people were rather sick on the trip out there, but once we were out in the water it didn't really matter and it was so beautiful! I arrived in Airlie Beach last night and have spent today taking advantage of having no plans for the first day in what feels like years, so caught up on the laundry etc, very dull but necessary! Tomrrow morning I am going sailing for 3 days round the Whitsunday Islands which I am very excited about, I am also going to do an introductory dive I think, am a little scared though, ha ha! Anyway time to head off to the bar!!! Am back on dry land on friday evening so won't be in contact for a couple of days, I know this will be particularly hard for quite a few of you out there but please, you will get through it!!!
