Left Paris heading towards the cinque terre, Italy. It's a group of 5 villages in the cliffs on the Italian coast that you can walk between or train and it's meant to be amazing and beautiful. Unfortunately the only accomodation we could find at such short notice was likely to be flea ridden and gross so we made the decision to skip it this time and come back and do it properly another time to properly enjoy it. So the destination changed to Florence! This was good though as by cutting down our time in Italy (already cutting out Venice and doing another time) we can have longer in the Greek Islands! Wooh! Made it to just before the Italian border near mt blanc and spent the night there in a truck stop.

Continued our trip towards Florence via Pisa. Not a town you would want to stay in probably. As we tried to find a park there were loads of Africans selling their hats and glasses and telling us where to park so we found a park back towards town which looked a but safer and in plain view as opposed to an alley. (Nearly got stuck in an alley with cars up both sides, was touch and go for a bit. Poor Liam broke a sweat in the drivers seat.) check out the tower and did the cliche photos. More hilarious watching everyone else trying to line themselves up with the tower for photos though. Only there for about half an hour then kept heading towards Florence.
Found a brand new campsite just out of Florence which was nice. Stayed up playing skipbo.

Got up did the much needed washing which was piling up and then caught the bus into Florence. Margot took Liam for a tour of the city which is small enough to walk around. Bloody hot though, ended up in a sports bar (where on here topdeck tour she had been for karaoke) for the arvo having a couple of beers and laughing at some hardcore Liverpool supporters.
Decided we should have a proper Italian meal so found a place a square and got a pizza and homemade pesto pasta which was delicious.
Caught taxi back to camp. The taxi driver was hilarious, she sounded like borat and had done lots of travel and kept telling us how awful Rome is (our next stop). Sat around playing skipbo and Liam decided it would be a good night to finish the cask of wine he had so he had fun getting drunk off that alone. Classic.
