Hi everyone,

Well, where do i begin... we arrived late on the 18th February 2008... jumped into a dodgy taxi and ended up in (and i quote) 'the worst street in Canada'... oh and also (another quote) 'where all the crack heads live' (as quoted by a man who knows the area well, who we asked for directions). But... us people from Sheppey don't let things like that spoil it... we just go and grab the nearest crate to sit on and join in with the hooligans. knife anyone?ha.

Anyways, apart from that it's been great here, we've almost walked around the whole of Toronto, leaving no stone unturned... we've bene tto their ChinaTown, where it is as it sounds, full of chinamen and women, more chinese restaurants than home... which takes some doing... and surprisingly loads of hairdressers where you can get your haircut for $5 (2 pounds)... which incidentally, i think my friend tom who came out here last tuesday went to, as he is now bald.... talk me through that one!

we've been to a tourist information centre and become best friends with the woman in there, almost want to take her around the world with me, as she was terrific in giving us advice. I've booked Niagra falls trip, ice hockey game, CN tower for a ride and to have dinner in there (going to need a bank loan for that one), going to the zoo, going ski-ing, going to all the museums (really should of bought one of those toggle things where you keep all your coins in... yeah I know you're all picturing that now) it's a must have when you go to the museums!

But on the whole it has been great here so far, the people, the food and the city, so i'll keep you updated on my next bit of news.
