Hey everyone! I can't remember the last time I wrote and the internet and this computer are being VERY slow. Plus they loaded windows vista on everything and it freaking sucks!! Anyway I just got done with a week in Rishikesh which is the yoga capital of the world. The weekend before Rishikesh we went to Amritsar which is a border city with a huge Sikh temple called The Golden Temple. We ate in the public cafeteria for free on the floor with everyone and the food was actually really good. I guess Sikh's believe in everyone being equal so everyone sits together, eats for free and has to wear a head covering. So then we went to Attari which is the border town in the state of Punjab. We watched this crazy Hindu vs. Pakistaniceremony.All of the Indians were chanting Hindustan Hindustan and the Pakistani soldiers try to stomp louder than the Indian ones, they open the border gates and go crazy!! We took an overnight train there and back and it was horrible with cockroaches and nasty nasty beds. So then we headed to our third week of clinicals in Rishikesh where we learned yoga, massage, naturopathy, ayurveda and more. It was really overwhelming because it is so touristy but it was nice. We hiked to a waterfall, shopped, went to the Beatles ashram and white water rafted the GANGES RIVER!! Class 4 rapids are really scary plus our guide was purposefully trying to flip the raft. Grr. Anyway I was sick all week, I still am, and this internet place is bumping the backstreet boys and I have a headache so this is it for now folks.
