So, me. I've given in to Popular Demand and am going to start (and maybe even continue to update) a blog. "Off Exploring" seemed fitting so here I am!

I'm still currently in Palmy, not actually leaving for the UK until the 21st March (less than three weeks away...gulp) and am waiting for Mike from Wanganui to come give me some money and take away the fridge. Then it's off to Mike from Wanganui, Dan from Canty and Porge from Aussie (and Ben from Katikati, bless)'s house to bribe the use of their washing machine, 'cause ours went about a week ago.

The way I figure this will work is I'll keep updating things as and where and when I can- I'm going to be training to be a trip leader with Top Deck though and from what I can gather it's basically going to be hell on wheels for 7-8 weeks, with people almost definitely going to be dropping out, it's meant to be that hard. Makes sense though- if it's a doddle you'll be screwed if on a real trip the proverbial hits the fan, so I guess it's a hell of a lot easier to give us trainees a few weeks of no sleep, waaaay too much paperwork, good food and not much free time...if we survive that, the real actual tours should be fun. I'm actually looking forward to it, hard work can be fun if you're enjoying it and after just under 4 years of retail sales I really need to get off my butt and out into the world!

Anyway Mike from WAG's due here soonish so I'm off to chuck the laundry in the car.
