Well, Auckland airport, what can you say?! ('Go Free WiFi' is a good start!!) So the last week has been mental, the hen's night on Sat 12th went well, I even bungy jumped off the AKL Harbour Bridge along with the very talented and strangely understanding of computers Alison. Sunday 13th was an easy ish one, early night for me. Then Monday-Thursday mentally busy trying to help with the wedding while still getting the Europe Top Deck stuff done. Alison the other bridesmaid has a way with comps, and seeing my agony offered to format it all to print directly on to palm/spiel cards. So far there's about 40ish printed totally several hundred pages... only 20-odd countries left totalling another few hundy pages!
The wedding on Saturday was brilliant, we went up on the Friday arvo to settle in (and forgot to settle the account the following day, oops). The Big Day dawned early as it does, so from about 7.30am ish we lovely ladies were up getting ready, hair and make up etc. Finally about 1.30 (only hald an hour late) we arrived at the quarry in Snells Beach way, gorgeous place and I'm looking forward to the photos. The groomsmen all looked swanky and remembered their manners by complimenting the ladies when we arrived too which was nice. The ceremony's only hiccups were the sound not working fabulously, and Dane the youngest lad throught it'd be hilarious to run up and down the ramp-- was great to watch but a bit distracting!
Reception and ceremony both were lovely and wishing Chris and Andrea all the best!
Now... Monday 21st March. I'm all checked in for the flight, boarding starts in an hour, yikes! Then it's an easy few hours to Melbourne then a dodgy many many hours to Dubai. Day and a half later and I'll be leaving for London, arriving Wednesday evening. That gives me a few days to get my s***e sorted to put it bluntly, and training starts Monday 28th. Everyone's told me it's going to be hell and to prepare for about 2 hours sleep/night for the first half or so- I figure bring it!
So, good luck me, good luck the pilot flying EK407, and see you all later!!
