Woke up to rain, ice and cold...shocker. So we rugged up and drove an hr and a half to Niagara Falls.
Was it an impressive sight....have to admit it was. Snow was actually traveling up from the water so it must be pretty cold down there. We took the elevator down behind the falls to go to the lookout points brrrrrrr.
Paul managed to take at least a thousand photos ( maybe a slight exaggeration ) of a hole with water.
By the time we left the boys were drenched from playing in all the ice so we headed back into Toronto to go to a market.
Well that didn't work out as the majority of the market was closed for construction and end of season. So we headed to the hotel as my cold is not getting better in Canada.
We did stop at burger king to grab tea as it was the only place open and we could get a park at.
They don't serve fries, only poutine which is a Canadian dish of fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. So ordered some to try and burgers and headed to the hotel after paying a ridiculous amount.
Canada is extremely expensive compared to USA and we have been paying 2 to 3 times more for everything. Even the dollar store charges at least $1.25.
So the verdict on poutine....salty but wasn't too bad.
Verdict on Toronto .....average. But people are more polite in Canada so that is a refreshing change.
