Last day in Melbourne today and I'm actually getting nervous for the first time since I left Kiruna. Dunno what it is, but I haven't been the least bit nervous the last couple of weeks, but now, as I leave Craig and Lisa, it's starting to really drop on me that I'm in the other end of the world and don't have the slightest idea what I'm doing xD
And it's fun! I got a greyhound buspass yesterday which costs about a weeks living expenses, but is going to take me up all the way the East coast to a place called Magnetic island, and I can get on and off at any place on the way up there.
Plus up there it is supposedly still quite warm, since it is like 4 days by car to the north. Then I just have to get a ticket down to sydney again and I'm golden.
For now though, I feel really sad about leaving Melbourne and I'm going to miss Craig, Lisa, rob, Jackson, Ken, Sharon and all the other people I've met down here.
Kiruna wasn't so bad, since I knew I'd make damn sure to meet all the people I wanted to meet again, but these guys... Quite probably not.
But hey, it's time to head up and go looking for new adventures, even though I've had plenty of them here. Been to a aussie football game, rode a mother-freaking sportscar, fed kangaroos, went dirtbiking, seen breakdancers and streetpreformers, been up the highest residential building in the southern hemisphere, partied with both swedish backpackers and native Australians lost myself while kayaking and so much more here. Melbourne really is awesome but now I wanna see what the rest of australia has to offer.
