Sometimes I'm just lucky... The first day with any actual rain since I left Sweden is obviously the day I decide to take a 3 hour bike excursion. See Agnes water and 1770 is about 6 km away from eachother. Agnes water being the village where I'm staying, where the bus stops and where all the super markets are and 1770 is an even smaller village a bit further north, on a little tip.
The name 1770 comes from the year captain Cook first landed on this very spot, his first landing in Queensland.
Agnes Water and 1770 is basically considered the same town, but not quite, if you get What I'm saying. You probably wont, i don't for one.
Anyways, I rented a bike, got out to the medical center to book an apointment for a physical check-up, which I need for my diver class (which seems to be a real fact actually! :D) which was about 3-4 km south. So before turning in the bike, I thought I'd head up to 1770, 6,5 km north. After about 500 meters it started pissing down rain...
And no way I was turning back, that'd be giving up. So i went on for the remaining 5-6 km in the crappy rain, with a cold that has been annoying me for like a week.
But it turned out really cool, almost hit 3 kangaroos with my bike when they hopped away 10 meters ahead. And when I finally got all the way to the end of the peak I had a great view.
Plus I found this sign (look at the picture) on the way there.
And thats about it. Bummed around the hostel when I come back, watching movies, hanging out and all. The wifi went down though... :/
