Last night i had bison ribs for the first time, they were delicious and so were the raspberry mojitoes! Slept very well anyway...
So, the final morning, it's been an amazing trip, I have seen so many things, experienced so much and met great people along the way.
The tiny bit of packing is done, a quick visit into the town this morning before our pick up for Calgary.
Not a big photo day, more of a hanging around morning waiting to go, but I did want to visit Central Park whilst here and I have! It was a tiny park, nothing like New York, but actually had a charm about it that the other doesn't possess. Due to the nature of the day, we have even ended up in Cascade Gardens, and for anyone who knows me at all, I don't do gardens or flowers!
What I am enjoying is just wandering down the street in beautiful Banff, taking it all in, I really like it here.
I'm trying to shop for anything that is slightly usable and not too tourist tacky... It's a tough job as every store is awash with bears, moose, and hockey players on every type of object imaginable! There are Inukshuk's in every wood, colour and type of jade; not quite what I had in mind. Totem poles and Indian trinkets; which are all beautiful, just not sure what Laura and Joe will do with them once home...
Have collected the bags and off to Calgary airport now. Shame there is no time to see any of Calgery; maybe another time...
Not particularly looking forward to the long trip home, but you can't have everything!
Thank you for bothering to read the blog and look at the photos; hopefully it has given you an insight into the trip.
See you all back home x
