Well we've moved again. Had great time with Dave Caroline and the boys - it was nice to see them again almost nine years to the day. They are asking after you Ronnie and Scott and also the Crichtons. Kia ora 9/2/06 Caught the ferry from Wellington to Picton this morning and then picked up a hire car. Sail down was lovely can't believe the scenery throught the Malborough Sounds. Stopped of at Havelock on our way to Nelson and had some lunch - I said to Davey the journey was worth even if it was just to taste the mussels, they are delicious. Here we are in the south of the north island in Wellington the capital of New Zealand. We flew down with Air New Zealand and met even more Scots. Our chief cabin steward was karen from Pitlochry!! Staying in the city centre which is much quieter than Auckland but off course the population is only about a third of Auckland. Had a trip on the cable car lovely views from the top. Stayed in Auckland last night. Coach trip this am to the Bay of Islands. Today is Wantaigi day - New Zealand Day. Can't go to the treaty house as there is a Maori ceremony going on. Just waiting for our boat to Cape Brett and through the hole in the Rock. Very nice up here kept remembering Helen saying that the scenery north of Auckland was best and it is so far. On the road today left Napier very early stopping off in Taupo - David wants to stay! Had great time in Napier art deco is lovely.
