Hi Lynne, Just got around to reading your experiences. Sounds great and something you will never forget. I don't know why you had to tavel so far to see all these animals and great scenery when you could have visited the Hillmead. As you know there are some strange animals there all wishing to kill each other. Some lovely scenery aswell, you can't beat the sight of TV'S and washing machines in front gardens. Carry on enjoying yourself and take care. Cleggy

After reading your last message, I'm thinking things are getting a bit gruesome. Live mice and snakes Ugh. I could cope with the snake necklace, but the spider ---- forget it ! I'm going to stick to "scenic". We're off to the lake district with the caravan on Friday. At last there's been some nice warm (hot even) sunny days here. Great. Mum was really pleased to hear from you and sends her love. Bye for now. Kate.

Dear Lynne,
Your experiences sound fantastic. (Sorry about the pants contact - lost your blog address and am blaming puppy for eating it)! Thanks for text by the way. New Year's Resolution is to learn how to text back!
I didn't realise ardvarks were still around. I thought they'd gone out with the dodos. It sounds like you're getting a really genuine and hands-on experience with the reserve animals- how will Somerset ever compare?
If you need anything doing at this end, do let us know by the way..
Trying to meet up with Ash but she works a lot and I work a bit, but we'll catch up soon. I saw her house advertised and looking rather handsome I thought....
All same for us in C. Adam. Finally dared to let Alfie off his lead, and he was a star. That was probably because he didn't spot a rabbit or other dog to play with! He's pretty obedient and the most good-natured thing you'll ever meet. I;m a bit taken aback by my great love for him...
We've booked you in for the Village Day where you'll be competing in all events - only joking! But think of us stuck in our village rut.
Love to you and keep enjoying your adventure!
Kate

Did you pay to get up at 5:30 in the morning?? I assume some one brings you breakfast in bed or at least there is a sufficent buffet...At least you get to sunbath...?? sounds awsome although you do appear to be quite getting in to the whole killing thing... you may have trouble re acclimatising to civilisation if you dont control that blood lust.. I did go to longleat the other day and fed the seals, i saw a Lion, it was asleep...and a giraffe,.... it was kinda standing around....ok Ill shut up about that may not be on a par...be careful, avoid snakes, apparently they dont just bite mice..... and they are all wriggley and gross.....x
Helen
Hi Lynne. When you say "bump into other vehicles" - do you mean literally!! Not sure about the python, wouldn't it just be safer to wear a scarf?! Up at 5.30 - are you mad?!? Must be amazing to see all those animals so close to you! Presumably you've reverted back to being a vegetarian, after that small glitch! As usual you're not missing anything, least of all the weather. Look after yourself. Helen

Hi Lynne - I am soooo jealous how brilliant to be able to get so close to the big cats - you're welcome to the spiders tho - not my idea of fun at all!! At least the weather here is beautiful today so relaxing in the garden will be the order of the day later. Went to Thorpe Park last week - recommend Tidal Wave which does exactly what it says on the tin - Good job we all had a change of clothes to come home!!! Kee4p having fun. Sue

Hi Lynne Another bank holiday here and guess what, yes, rain, rain and more rain. We had a lovely sunny time in N.Ireland, visited the Giants Causeway and I did make it across the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. The forests and beaches were great and the Antrim coast-road very scenic. It made a nice break. It seems like you're really enjoying your African adventure. Everything sounds very exciting and varied. Will you want to return ??? Love Kate
The Scots
Weather up here in Scotland is fantastic (for once) Sounds like you are having an amazing time Lynne. Can't wait to hear all your adventures and see the photos. Keep having fun ! S&R
Helen
Hi Lynne! Cannot believe what a wonderful experience you're having, I'm soooo envious! Toni's right - typical Bank Holiday weather - it's thundering, lightening and chucking it down in Bristol at the moment - hooray!! Really looking forward to your next lot of 'photos. Glad to hear that your fellow travellers appear to be relatively sane and that the accommodation is palatial! I haven't seen any spitting cobras today - or on the other hand!? Look after yourself! H
Toni
Wow Lynne...that last blog was amazing...you are going to be soooo bored when you get back...here am I sitting in the office looking out over a car park and it's pouring with rain...it's a Bank Holiday weekend of course!! There you are... seeing all that wildlife in those settings and at close hand!! (not sure about the spitting cobra)...fantastic!! Are you coming back???!
