The weather this morning was not good - it was raining so I had a relaxing morning. In the afternoon I went into town and asked about jetboating. About ten minutes later I had a lifejacket on and was getting into a boat. For those of you who don\'t know jetboating involves skimming along rivers at high speed while the driver spins the boat and goes really close to bridges and the riverbank. Jetboats can actually go in water about four inches deep. As the boat was only half full and there was no-one sitting beside me I got flung about a bit every time the boat spun. By the way, you aren\'t strapped in or anything, you just have to brace yourself and hold on for dear life. The trip I took lasted an hour and went up the Karawau and Shotover rivers.
