I forgot to say that on the way down the mountain I had to drive down a road that looked just like the one in the picture with loads of Merino sheep jumping in front of the car. Oamaru is quite a large town and I am staying in the historic part of it which means that a couple of streets round here and full of 1860s limestone buildings. I went on the Penguin Express to see the colonies of both kinds of penguin. The tour consisted on me and a Japanese couple. (There are a lot of Japanese tourists here, they come to work and improve their English). We were first taken to the Yellow-eyed penguin colony. The lookout point was quite a way above the beach but the guide explained it was because the penguins burrow into the bush on the hill. I managed to see five which was quite good as there is only a colony of thirty. We then went to the Little Blue penguin colony. I was told not to expect too many of them as they are out at sea a lot of the time. I actually saw four of them and they are really small. Then when we were driving out I saw another one just sitting in front of a bush. When I camback there was a Dutch couple in the TV lounge watching Mystery Men so I sat and watched that.
