Today we headed out to see Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum. We stood in line for a long time, luckily in the shade and we went in to a grey cool building where lots of men in white uniforms told us to take hats and glasses off and to be quiet as they pushed us into a procession past the body of a man in a glass case. Interesting. After that we went round his house and the museum which didn't help a whole lot with working out the history but interesting to see how a different culture creates a museum to their hero.
Another free afternoon and a bit strangely we spent it searching for a sandwich shop to stock up for our overnight train dinner. We ended up near the ice cream shop again so we had to drop in :D
Our overnight train to Hue was different to the last train. Little dorm rooms this time with four in each. Cosy. We had a bit of a sleepover with snacks and a few drinks. ;) It wasn't too bad but we were glad we had recommended sleep sheets for everyone :-/
