I am in a little town called Salvacion at the moment. It is an hours walk and then an hour on the bus from the MLC where we are all staying. Sorry for no updates in a while; there is a computer at the MLC but it usually has no battery (as it is powered by the solar panel) or is bein used for work. ANYWAY. WOW. It is wickedness to the max here. Also sweatyness to the max but I have not got malaria or rabies and am havin fun so who´s complaining? The centre is much nicer than I expected and althouh some things are quite basic - like there are six of us sharing one room at the moment and there is no hot water, its lovely and clean and comfortable. The other volunteers are all great too, there is me, 3 young guys from Britain, a man from Switzerland who is hilarious and a German couple and we all get along really well and it is such an interesting mix of people. As with the rest of eru, the organisation is not fantastic and that plus the added element of the waether usually means we have very little idea what we are doing from one day to the next but that adds to the charm and makes everything more relaxed. The staff that work at the MLC are great too and are giving me a good opportunity to keep racticing my Spanish. We have been doin lots of different work - bird monitoring, leaf collection , building work etc and are here in Salvacion for two days now to build a new biogarden for somebody. I´m sorry I cant say more at the moment - the comuter is very slow and I have to leave in 5 minutes but I will see if I canb get back on later. Just to let everybody know I am safe and havin a great time. Loads of love to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
