Ok so we got back from Arenal ok didn't have to stand up which was good cause that wouldn't have been fun! A few new real gappers arrived last week an we went out with a couple of times: saw batman, went to a roller disco and of course Castros again! At the weekend we decided to do day tours as people were leaving, and i didn't really fancy paying for more accomadation. On the friday we hired a bus and went to volcan Poas: we being; me, laurence, chris, the two american girls; the stone and alba; and the new real gappers; Nash, hannah, ryan, and joanne. The trip was a lot of fun but we didn't really see much as it was so cloudy the creator was covered in mist, but we stopped off at a coffee plantation and had some of costa ricas best beans. That night we said goodbye to The Stone and Alba with a few drinks at Rio's. On the saturday we went white water rafting, we were supposed to be doing class 3/4 rapids but because of the weather we could only do 1-3, which was very dissapointing but we still had fun so it was all good. In the evening we went to El Pueblo, which is like a walled off bit of san jose filled with bars clubs and restaurants. It was a preety good night out and made a change from the usual Rio's then Castros but the music wasnt great and it was very expensive. I preety much just chilled out on the sunday, we got a new german student in the house n me and Caroline (the other housemate) showed her round san jose.
