The border crossing from Argentina to Chile was much smoother and professional than any other crossing we had encountered in South America and it was such an amazing view as well! I was very ill on the bus journey over I called it travel sickness however I'm not sure why but Luke called it a hangover lol! Anyway we had booked into the same hostel as Jen and Kate and when we arrived they cooked us dinner and we all got on the sofas and watched a film with a hot chocolate! The next day we walked into the town and it was kind of like a poor mans San Francisco but had a lot of lovely colourful buildings and a large port. The locals were constantly telling us to watch our bags though so mad us feel a little un safe! That evening we repaid the favour and cooked Jen and Kate a chicken curry but this time we spent the evening with beer and wine! Kate and Jen left the next morning but the sun was shinning so we decided to stay on and take a walk down to the local beach this was after Luke had had his sulk because no one was showing the Toon game! But he soon cheered up when he went crabbing and found 4 crabs in the space of 5 minutes and we saw Pelicans, Sea Lions and Star Fish! That evening we watched some fireworks that were being set of down the beach but no idea what for!
That evening our hostel owner walked down to the bus station for us and got our bus tickets with his residence discount which was lovely of him! We then jumped on our last bus journey the next morning to Santiago which was only a couple of hours!
